A fun homage to 1960s thrillers and giallo films. Beautiful to look at in so many ways.
Mildly interesting look into Hitchcock’s work by Truffaut.
Smart and funny. A refreshing coming-of-age story.
“Vanishing Waves” sure tries hard to be something but never quite succeeds. The lead was wholly unlikable, and not in a good way.
“A bit of a rattle”, hah! Three stars for being funny, an extra half star for Sir James.
I’m hopeful that if I watch this again, I will enjoy it more. There’s enough there to merit a repeat viewing, but I was only mildly entertained and slightly disappointed.

A few good laughs but I wanted it to be better.
It’s as good as I remember.
A movie like “La La Land” shouldn’t even exist, but I’m very glad it does.
What a delightful movie. After springing to life with a crazy dance number on an LA freeway I thought to myself, “I hope the whole movie is this much fun” – and it was! I was smiling ear-to-ear for the entire trip.
It’s as good as everyone says.
